Wishing Ahead

It’s that time of year when there are only a couple weeks left of summer, and when I should be soaking up the warmth and the rays from the sun I’m instead looking forward to the crisp fall mornings with crunching leaves underneath my feet and warm apple cider in my hands.  I know there’s only a couple weeks left and I should be enjoying the moment, the last few weeks of warmth and weather that invites us outside.  But it’s also the season’s signature time where it loses my focus and I jump towards the next season.  In the last few weeks of summer, I look forward to fall.  In the last few weeks of fall, I look forward to winter, and in the last few weeks of winter I look forward to spring.  It’s a never-ending cycle.  It bothers me because a.)  it shows my impatience and b.)  I’d really prefer to live in the moment.  So think back to spring when you were looking forward to summer and all that you wanted to do and make sure in the next couple of weeks you are able to put a check mark next to each of those things!  Time is a tickin’ – don’t let the rest of summer slip out of your fingers!

So here’s to the last few weeks of flower pictures I’ll be able to take, and towards pushing myself to continue to snap shots throughout the winter!
